IT WASN'T ALWAYS EASY. 🥴
When I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey, I was a recent domestic violence survivor without a dollar to my name or confidence in myself, but I was filled with excitement, passion, and a vision for what I wanted to achieve. As soon as I started, reality set in, and I quickly realized that turning dreams into reality is no simple task. The challenges came fast and hard. I was juggling countless responsibilities, trying to manage the demands of my business while still maintaining a semblance of a personal life. The weight of expectations—both my own and those of others—felt crushing at times. Every decision seemed monumental, and the fear of failure was a constant companion. There were moments when I doubted myself, wondering if I was really cut out for this. Sleepless nights became the norm as I wrestled with the uncertainties of running a business.
I faced financial hurdles, moments of isolation, and the daunting task of standing out in a crowded market. It felt like for every step forward, I was pushed two steps back. Yet, deep down, I knew I couldn’t give up. There was a drive within me, a burning desire to make it work no matter what. But the road ahead was anything but clear, and I often found myself questioning whether I had the strength to continue.
The emotional toll was immense. I felt a constant pressure to prove myself, not just to others, but to myself. I worried about making the wrong choices, about missing opportunities, and about letting down the people who believed in me. The highs were exhilarating, but the lows were devastating. There were times when I felt completely overwhelmed, like I was drowning in a sea of tasks, expectations, and self-doubt. I envied those who seemed to have it all figured out, wondering what secret they had that I didn’t. The loneliness of entrepreneurship became all too real as I struggled to find a community that truly understood the unique challenges I faced. I knew that if I didn’t find a way to push through, all my hard work would amount to nothing. But as much as I wanted to succeed, I was plagued by the nagging fear that maybe I wasn’t cut out for this, that maybe I had taken on more than I could handle.Â

Then COVID hit, and everything turned upside down. Suddenly, I was homeschooling my kids, juggling with the demands of running a business. On top of that, I was also a full time student. To make matters worse, I lost my biggest client of three years, a devastating blow that left me questioning everything. I was at a crossroads, wondering how I could possibly move forward in the midst of so much uncertainty.
THINGS STARTED TO CLICK. ✨
Instead of giving up, I decided to adapt and evolve. I took stock of my new skills and realized that this was an opportunity to rebrand myself and raise my prices. I set higher personal standards, redefining how I viewed and treated myself, and established stronger boundaries for how others could treat me.
It wasn’t easy, but through this process, I rediscovered my worth and purpose. And the results have been incredible! Now, I’m making more than twice as much as I did back then and have expanded my positive impact in ways I never imagined.
This experience taught me that even in the darkest times, there’s potential for growth and transformation if we’re willing to embrace the challenges and reinvent ourselves.

As I navigated through these challenges and emerged stronger, I realized that the key to my success wasn’t just about surviving, it was about thriving by embracing a new mindset and setting clear boundaries. I honed in on the strategies and principles that truly made a difference: knowing my worth, setting higher standards, continuing to learn new skills, valuing my time, and making intentional choices in my business and personal life. These principles became the foundation of my new approach, and I’ve seen them empower not just me, but the women I coach. Whether it’s redefining success, enhancing self-worth, or building a business that feels aligned and fulfilling, these principles are the tools I use to help others achieve their dreams.
